Dimea Oy has received development funding from the Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment (ELY Centre) for Southwest Finland as part of the EU Regional and Structural Policy Programme Renewing and Competent Finland 2021–2027 (ERDF).

The project investigates and develops a digital process for the automated creation of health technology products based on individual measurements. The work focuses on a parametric design and modelling workflow that enables customer-specific measurements to be converted into manufacturable CAD models in the future without the need for manual redesign.

The project defines the critical geometric, mechanical, and manufacturing constraints of the products and ensures that automatically adapted models meet manufacturability and quality requirements. In addition, the project examines the specific characteristics of personalised products compared to standard products from the perspectives of medical device regulation, documentation, and supply chain considerations.

The project will be implemented from 1 August 2024 to 31 December 2025.
